Do you find your work stressful that you have to take medications like stimulants? Do you find your life lonely that you have to take anti-depressants? While synthetic medicines might give you immediate relief from stress, depression, anxiety, and many other problems, taking them often will just harm your body considering the many side effects it will bring to your system. Good to note, there is one way you can eliminate these negative elements from your system, and that is through meditation.
Meditation is an ancient practice designed to empower one’s body, mind, and spirit by letting go of the physical existence and embracing spiritual presence—known as transcendence. In most case, meditation is mostly associated to exercising one’s mind and spirit though people nowadays have begun experiencing its scientific benefits.
Basically, the real purpose of meditation is to clear out your mind from worldly things both pleasures and problemsso your mind can transcend to a higher meditative state known as bliss. This can be done through awakening of the central energy within you and channeling such energy from your deepest core to your mind. With that, you can clear out everything in your mind, making it like a still pool in the forest. And if that happens, it will now be so easy for you to introspect—meaning self-evaluate and self-assess as to how much do you know about yourself and your very existence.
With deep introspection, you will come to a point of self-realization of your life’s sense of purpose. You will also experience a feeling of completeness within you—a feeling you haven’t felt before. You will also experience a spiritual sense of self-awareness that nobody in the world exists solely for himself—admitting that everything in the universe is interrelated and interconnected. Just like Buddha had experienced, meditation brings forth enlightenment. You will just have to know how to let go your worldly attachments and transcend beyond the physical world.
Enlightenment is not something that is done and learned overnight. It requires a lot of spiritual trainings and exercises done through meditation. While it’s really difficult to achieve this state of enlightenment with the many distractions, we have today, finding yourself in one corner meditating, will surely put you a step nearer towards achieving it. Don’t worry if you might not achieve it your whole life meditating, as you can gain many other benefits from it. You might not be enlightened like Buddha, but you will definitely gain spiritual calmness, inner peace, and harmony—a feeling that most people are deprived from.
Other than these spiritual gains, you will also have a healthier physical body. You will be free from stress as deep motivation releases stress out from your body and prevent it from going inside your system as well. Deep motivation is also equal to deep rest. This means that it will also save you ample amount of energy, which your body will use in cell rejuvenation and repair thereby maintaining you a youthful looking aura.
