The number of people using airport parking at Leeds Bradford may reach a peak before the end of the year. While it is true that, generally speaking, demand for Leeds Bradford parking is stronger during the summer months, new research from Halifax has suggested that many consumers around the UK intend to get away during the low season for travel.
It found that nearly one in four Britons recently polled intended to take a break between October and December. Meanwhile, of those keen to go on a vacation during this period, a quarter revealed it was to avoid the higher prices that are charged in the summer.
Indeed, those using Leeds Bradford parking who want to cut down on the cost of their flights should try to use off-peak times of the year, as this makes their transport significantly cheaper.
Also, 23 per cent of those heading abroad before the end of December noted they are seeking winter sun, while 14 per cent felt they can go further for their money at this time. For this reason, an estimated three million consumers from across Britain will be making or will have already made a trip to a long haul destination.
Halifax also revealed that these people will spend a collective total of around £9 billion getting away and a further £500 million while they are abroad.
Responding to the figures, director of Halifax credit cards Ken Stannard said: “Low season holidays hold a great deal of appeal for those that are looking to get away but still make the most of their money.
“However, more budget conscious holidaymakers need to also ensure that they are getting the best deal on their travel money as well.”
These days, there are a range of options available to consumers concerning the means by which they spend while on a vacation.
