Five Reasons Why You Should Work From Home
There are many good reasons to work from home and one of the most compelling is that it is very cheap. You do not need to worry about the costs of commuting, renting an office or uniforms. Instead, you can divert that money to marketing, technology, the very best home study furniture or anything else that you feel could improve your business.
It is also very convenient to work from home. You may be the spontaneous, creative type who simply likes to work at odd times. Whatever your reasons, you are free to go into the office at whatever time suits you. If you are a ‘night owl’ who prefers to go to bed late and start work later on the morning, then working from home will give you the freedom to do that. You have the flexibility to fit your work around school sports days or childcare.
Working from work is also comfortable. Although you still obviously require a reasonably work-like environment, you are free to dress down as much as you wish. You can work from the sofa, take frequent breaks or listen to music. You could conceivably put the heating on in the summer, or open the windows in the winter. You have the freedom to do whatever you want to do, within reason.
More Productive
You can also be more productive as a result of working from home, which in turn, allows you to earn more money. Not having to wake up at 7am each morning so that you can spend an hour or so commuting in and out of town means that you can start work earlier and finish later. You don’t need to worry about colleagues dropping by to share their problems with you while you are trying to work, or meetings where a lot of time is wasted and little work is done. Instead, there is potentially nothing to punctuate your day other than the work itself.
Freedom
Working from home means that you also have the freedom and gratification of being your own boss, working hard only for yourself. You can take on more work if you want to and take a holiday whenever you choose. Working from home makes you feel more independent to make your own, grown up decisions. This is certainly a change from requiring approval from your boss every time you need to attend, for example, medical appointments.

University towns see property price boost
Those heading back to university may be surprised to hear that they are helping the economy in more than one way, as house prices in 60 per cent of university towns have seen growth outperform their regions in the past five years1.
