Time was when you were in and out of bathrooms as quick as possible. There weren’t a place to linger or spend much time in. That has all changed. As part of this trend bathroom radiators have changed beyond all recognition. They cater for considerations of taste and style as well as practicality these days.
These so called designer radiators are now available from pretty much any bathroom outlet or diy store. There’s nothing special or unique about them now. They really have gone mainstream. If you are looking to jazz any bathrooms you have a home, this a great low cost way of making a big interior design statement. You really will be glad you did it.
A great many modern radiators are the ones that can warm towels. There’s nothing better than having a lovely warm towel to use after your bath or shower. Be prepared though, if you do opt for one of these, they won’t generate as much heat as a conventional radiator. You might have to have an ordinary radiator fitted as well to get the best of both worlds. It’s no good having warm towels and a cold bathroom.
Towel rails can be electrically heated which gives you the option to turn them on and off, even in summer when you still might fancy a warm towel. If they are hooked up to your central heating, then your options are a bit limited. Warm towels in winter only I’m afraid.
There are all sorts of other types of design. Don’t assume you have to go to some high end shop though to get these. Your local diy store should have a wide selection. Of course, you might just want a plain old traditional radiator. These can be surprisingly expensive, so if you are on a budget, look out for second hand ones that have been salvaged.
